Private Investment in Coal Sector

To further augment coal production capacity in the country keeping in view long-term coal demand, 136 coal mining blocks have been identified for private investment for captive use of coal. The salient details are as follows :

Note:-

1. In addition to 136 identified coal blocks,81 more coal blocks have been identified for allocation to Govt. Companies /permissible end users .out of which 48 Blocks have been notified by the Ministry of Coal.
